Yamaha introduces the YCM705 condenser microphone — The ideal choice for music production and live streaming

Yamaha is proud to announce release of the YCM705 condenser microphone for creators who want greater sound quality and expressiveness in home studio music production, live streaming, and video recording. The company has provided steady support for music production endeavors with a wide variety of recording equipment, including the HS Series studio monitor speakers and the HPH-MT Series studio monitor headphones, and the YCM705 is a model that ensures the accurate capture of the performance as is, based on our unique True Sound philosophy.

The YCM705 features a condenser capsule uses two custom-designed 1-inch large diaphragms, which provides excellent acoustic performance and high sensitivity to breath sounds in vocals and the subtle nuances of instrument playing. In addition, a pad switch has been included that changes the gain in three steps of off, -10 dB or -20 dB, which is necessary when recording loud sources such as drums, and a low-cut switch for reducing low-frequency noise contained in environmental sounds. Among the included accessories is a pop filter that effectively suppresses pop noise when recording vocals. Finally, the exterior design incorporates the flowing curves of a wind instrument, just like the YDM series of dynamic microphones, and the surface of the robust metal body is finished with a matte paint finish to enhance the texture.
