Hamish Stuart

With a number of big-selling albums and huge tours, The Average White Band transfixed massive audiences all over the world with their ferocious groove. Following the split of the band, Hamish toured and recorded with soul stars such as Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan and George Benson.

Invited to join Paul McCartney’s band in 1998, Hamish went on to play a major part in the ‘Flowers in the Dirt’ album. During Hamish’s stint with Paul, he recorded 2 studio and 3 live albums, and played in Paul’s touring band for the 1989 and 1993 world tours.

Hamish continues to write and play live with The Hamish Stuart Band, while still finding time to undertake other projects like Quincy Jones’ 64th birthday event and guesting with Bonnie Raitt on her recent tour. The band sell-out gigs where ever they go with the soul legend constantly proving that he’s on the highest form.
